This usecase is part of a CRM project for
creates new experiences to encourage users to log in/create an account.
The results of a survey about new fonctionnality show that 32% of users who search on Selency want to be able to save their search and more and more reviews are spontaneously requesting this functionality, as it is really market practice elsewhere.

They want to save searches mainly because they search for a specific item that they have not found yet. A potential of 5500 users who create a new alert per month (web & app)
And good news : users wish to be notified, frequently.
This suggests great retention potential. On app & web, 85% of users want to be notified. To save a search, 60% of users want to be notified of each new result.

It was also found that users mostly save specific searches (25% of large queries, 55% of precise or filtered queries, 15% of very precise queries and 3% out of scope queries)
Features
Save a search must take less than 20 seconds : the user has just to confirm or set up alerting then confirm.
Notify by default whenever there is a result, because on Selency, 70% of saved search are narrow (less than 300 results). So don’t can choose frequency of notifications but you can activate / desactivate alerts.
