Understanding

Search on Selency lack of visibility & flexibility

Search on Selency lacks visibility and flexibility The search is not highlighted on the main pages of the site (home page, product landing page). On the app, the search bar is not very accessible. It is difficult to adjust the search or perform another search.

Users whose search idea is unclear do not have enough tips and suggestions to help them

On search pages & category pages, 40%* of users don’t have a clear idea of what they are looking for. The benchmark shows great potential in the search bar which is under-exploited.

Not enough means of search to get to the right results

20% of users searching leave without visiting an item’s page.
We see a limitation of textual search: either users do not know the right terms, or sellers do not use them.
